My journey with photography began through my love of baseball. In 2009, I began photographing all of my step-son’s games. I became obsessed with capturing those great plays and candid shots of him and his teammates.

After awhile, I started taking pictures of the fans in the stands and then of the families that became our friends. Eventually, I decided to turn this passion into a more focused venture, which led me to create Misty Angel Photography.

Beyond sports, capturing life as it happens is the most important part of photography for me. My style of photography is very documentary-like, in the moment... just real!

I love spending time with people, getting to know them and being able to show how beautiful their lives are through photographs, if even for a twinkle. The best part of the process for me is downloading the photos to my computer and seeing magic happen before my eyes! I feel very lucky and excited to bring these precious memories back to my clients!

Photography is my creative outlet, my Zen-place and my zeal! I am constantly learning, tweaking and tuning, so that I am at peak performance. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America, working toward my Certified Professional Photographer certification! My commitment to my clients is to be at the top of my game and to produce awesome photographs that make their hearts sing!

A little more about me…

I have an awesome family… Colin (husband), Brooke, Corey and Seth, in order of their ages… We have a lot of ridiculous fun together! We are all about games, the beach, movies, grilling out, being outdoors, going to the theater, vintage cars and of course baseball… lots of energy in this Angel household!

I love to make pictures (obviously), go to the ball park and watch my Washington Nationals play ball, ride my bike all over town, play tennis (err, attempt to play tennis) and read voraciously (another total addiction)! Okay, one of my bucket-list wishes is to photograph at least one Washington Nationals game, from the photographer’s dugout! Go NATS! As you can tell, I’m all about having fun and living a great life… I like to share that energy and enthusiasm with my clients… most importantly, I strive to bring life to photos that will live forever through generations of a family!

I am looking forward to meeting you... and your family!

P.S. The photo I'm sharing on this page was taken by an amazing photographer, Donna Good! She is an incredibly talented photographer on Maryland's Eastern Shore... Find her on www.alifeinfocusphotography.com.
